Hello

In this forum I was into posting some information and tips about packing the games very well for shipping. I guess I'll do that soon, after I have received this game today:

The game came in an envelope with some bubble plastic in it. That's never enough packing for a sensitive electronical device.

I did contact the seller - let's see what he thinks about it.

20.10.2006:
The seller contacted me and told me, that he did file a complaint at the post office. They will investigate the case and the seller will contact me again if he has some news. Let's wait and see... ;-) )

27.10.2006:
News from the seller: The post office can't do anything, because the small parcel wasn't insured. The seller did not offer any insurance (registered mail etc.) in the payment information he has sent me through eBay. I did answer the seller. To be continued...

27.10.2006 / 2:
The seller wrote me back, that es is out now. Before I asked for a small refund, less than half of the auction price. But he said no. Item not very good packaged and no insurance offer in his eBay checkout. Sad, but at least he did take himself some time to answer my mails and to do the investigation with the postal office.

I remember this auction and the problems you had. its terrible when you get let down so badly through ebay. for me paypal has a lot to answer for too (same company?). when i got badly ripped off one time, they just made me do crazy things like file a police report and get a games shop to send a letter on letterheaded paper to say that the games were not as described. in the end i was offered to return the games for my refund. but of course all at my expense, so i would lose £8 and hours of time, and waiting for paypal to answer the phone), and i never got the partial refund i requested. ok, they say they will deal with the seller involved but probably they are still out there somewhere ripping people off. good luck in the future with G&W's :)

Hello triket and welcome to the forum :welcome:

Yes, it's very sad if seller don't pack the items very well and then claim that they are nor responsible if the game gets damaged. In fact, a seller is responsible! He is responsible to pack a sensitive item very well to avoid damage...
If packaged very well and the item still gets damaged, ok, then he is not responsible.

After I received that game, I always ask the seller to pack the item very well (strong carton box etc.). And it works! Almost all seller do pack the item(s) perfectely!
