Bienengräber catalogue

A very rare find changed ownership last December: A catalog from the company Bienengräber. This over 25 pages strong catalog was given away by the company Bienengräber to their dealers. In the 80s, Bienengräber was the first Nintendo distributor in Germany.

Besides many Game&Watch games, the catalog also contains pictures and information of many other LCD games from that time.

The seller Frank Waligorski informed me, that he probably received the catalog in the 80s in a toyshop in Reutlingen. He still was a child by that time and he liked to have a Game&Watch game.

The final price of EUR 166.99 shows how rare and popular items related to Game&Watch are.

Promo Game Snoopy Tennis Candia

Once again, a new version of promo Game&Watch was found. A collector was lucky enough to get the game. It’s a Snoopy Tennis of the Wide Screen series. The game has the logo of Candia imprint on its front.  It was previously known, that Candia is on Popeye and Mickey Mouse, both from the Screen Wide series. And now on Snoopy Tennis as well.

Promotional version Rain Shower Coral

Game&Watch still is good for surprises!

Our FAQ about promotional Game&Watch Games (this are games having an additional company logo imprinted, on behalf of companies) counted 44 different Promo Games so far.

Now the 45th Game has joined the list: Rain Shower LP-57 holding the logo of Coral. It's the first Promo Rain Shower Game and it even comes with the very rare J.i21 box.

An extremely rare item that was discovered by a collector on a garage sale.

Most collectors of Game & Watch games probably know about the promotional Game&Watch games. These very special games have been used by famous companies as an advertising medium. Instead of the Game&Watch logo or in addition to it, these games have the logo of the company imprinted on the game.

Update of the Website

gameandwatch.ch has undergone some major software updates. Most part of the website now is responsive, so it's displaying correctly on mobile devices such as Smartphones, Tablets, iPad etc.

The change is not fully completed yet. Because this website has over 400 pages, this will take a while :-)

Presenting the Game&Watch Games

Many collectors like to exhibit their games at home. Many of the Game&Watch games can placed nicely with their fold-out stand on the back side. That's the games from the series Gold, Wide Screen and New Wide Screen. The Game&Watch games of the two series Table Top and Panorama can placed very good as well.

J.i21 Life Boat for EUR 4011.00

A very special Game&Watch has changed ownership today for a lot of money.

For incredible EUR 4011.00 a Multi Screen Life Boat was sold on ebay.

This is no ordinary Life Boat, but a J.i21. These were sold in France. The special kind is, that they have the J.i21 logo imprinted on the box. That's what makes these games rare, because not many of them are around, a Life Boat is even extremely rare.

Database update November - December 2013

The auction data for the months November and December 2013 are now available.
