List of which are 3 digit score games and 4 digit score games? was created by Lems
Hello. Does anyone know or have a list of games that only go up to 999, and the ones that go up to 9999? Any ones that go even higher?
Anyone know why the ones that go to 999 only go that far?

I don't know of such a list.
Even worse: I rarely play the Games ...
I collect them but I can'n tell the possible maximum score of each game.

I try to create such a list, but it will last because I'm very busy at the moment. Snoopy Tennis don't stop at 999 --> 1005, 1006,...

I don't have a list, but Donkey Kong Jr. definitely goes up to 999 and then starts again at 0

I like to play the games when I'm bored and in the mood for them, or need to kill time so.
I've noticed, Super Mario Bros goes to 9999, Bombsweeper goes to 9999.
Ball reissue goes to 9999 (Not sure if the original goes to 999 on game A or 9999)
Popeye stops at 999, and passing it, the high score still maxes out at 999. The gameplay difficulty still is hard and rises, and the 300 point bonus still applies when you reach x300 again. I got 1565 last night.
I imagine that the ones with 4 digits needs those because of how the score system goes past 1000 really fast, but what's the purpose of not making the others 4 digits when the clock can obviously show 4 digits? Maybe it was to save memory space?
